If you are looking at this ad then you
may be aware of the quality and reputation of the ladies and gentlemen's outfitters Cartier of Paris and there products
which was founded in 1847 by jeweller and designer Louis-Francois Cartier. However,
for those
of you who are new to this brand what
we have here is a vintage pair of Cartier eyeglasses frames model name Edition Santos-Dumond. Moreover, while known for there build quality and presigious design innovation the frames are brushed chrome and gold with black arm
socks and the iconic Santos gold coloured screws along the nose bridge and arm shafts. On the inside
the arms are marked 130 Paris Frame CE and serial number on one arm along with Edition Santos-Dumond Cartier and 58-16 on the bridge while I would describe these as a medium-large size arm length.
In adition, while designed primarily for smart
casual dress wear or equally perfect for everyday work or
study wear and when worn offer a medium weight yet snug fitting well balanced feel while adding a sense of sophistication and elegance to the
wearer though when closed neither of the arm butts come into contact with the
lenses.
As
for the cosmetic condition these frames have been used and are in very good condition with age and use related signs of handing patina and discolouration to the
frames, nose pads and rubbing on the arm socks. In addition one of the hinge screws has been replaced and is protruding although this is only visual and as
such I'd rate them as 8-8.5/10. Please Note: these eyeglasses are not fitted with any lenses which will need to be changed to suit your own requirements.
In addition, most frames can be adjusted to fit by your optician
although do check and confirm these options are available. No carry case or cleaning clloth although I'll include a case for free. Serial Number 3877840.
